Shattered Blades

Warder Ojo Kante of Quloo has narrowly avoided death in an assassination attempt, and lays in bed, one arm damaged so badly he may never use it again. His nephew, Adechike Ekutu, is furious and stalking the streets to find the would-be killers and Kris, his former friend and now prime suspect in the attack on Ojo. And Warder Oda no Michiko is done with her masters, done with the Mertikan Empire. She has a witness who can show that the empire touched off the war that is consuming the nations of the sky, and she isn't going to keep quiet about it. More than one duel will be fought this night, vassal against empire, friend against friend.
